Our Commitment to the Community:
Smash & Aldeas Infantiles SOS Costa Rica
At Smash, giving back is part of who we are. Since 2022, we have proudly partnered with Aldeas Infantiles SOS Costa Rica, an amazing organization providing care and hope to children from newborns to 17 years old.
Our relationship began with a shared goal—to bring joy and support to these children and their dedicated caregivers, lovingly called “aunts and uncles.” Over the years, this bond has grown stronger, becoming a heartfelt tradition for everyone involved.
Every year, Smash hosts a festive Christmas Party at Aldeas’ community salon. We transform the space with decorations, festive music, and activities like cupcake and cookie decorating, jewelry making, a photobooth, and fun with a clown and inflatable castle. The children enjoy treats like candies and popcorn, while we make sure every child receives a special gift thanks to donations from Smashers, their families, and the wider community.
What’s truly inspiring is how this event has brought together not only our Smash team but also people outside the company—friends, family, and supporters who believe in doing good for these kids and join us year after year to volunteer and celebrate. Their warmth and generosity make the party even more special.
Beyond Christmas, every quarter Kelly and other team members celebrate the kids’ birthdays with cake, gift wrapping, and shared joy. On Christmas Day, Smash volunteers serve ice cream, continuing the tradition of spreading happiness.
This partnership is a team effort in every sense—from collecting gift lists, buying and wrapping presents, to decorating and sharing moments of joy. It has become a powerful team-building experience that unites us and reminds us of the impact we can make together.
Seeing the children grow, witnessing their smiles, and supporting the caregivers fills us with pride and motivates us to keep doing more. We also work closely with Aldeas’ administration to provide ongoing support for the caregivers who play such a vital role.
Our partnership with Aldeas Infantiles SOS Costa Rica is more than charity—it’s about hope, community, and making a lasting difference in the lives of these children who represent the future.
